Irrigation Shut Down Information  - begins October 13th

Irrigation Shut Down Information

Irrigation shutdown will begin on October 13th in Banning Lewis and will take multiple days to complete due to the overall amount of houses and territory that must be covered.  Depending on your area, you will not see the first thing on Monday, but you will be taken care of and this information contained is a first step to complete to make sure they can complete their portion upon arrival to your home.
Consistent with past seasons, Landscape Endeavors will be installing reminder signage and flyer boxes with irrigation shutdown instructions for your reference.

Irrigation Shutdown Process:

Inside your home, please locate your water shutoff valve. For Carriage-style homes, this will be located in the small closet underneath the stairs. For Bungalow-style or ranch-style homes, this will be located in the basement. Duplex-style homes may be located in the interior utility closet.

Slowly rotate the control arm on the valve until it is in the perpendicular "OFF" position. See photo included for reference.

Copper pipes with valve handles and arrows indicating flow direction, wrapped in white material.

The valve for the main water line of the home remains in the parallel "ON" position. The valve for the irrigation line is rotated to the perpendicular "OFF" position.

After completing this step, please leave the valve off until spring startups begin next season. Landscape Endeavors, Inc. will assist homeowners with shutdown and blowout of the irrigation system.
