Landscape Endeavors Community Update

Landscape Endeavors Community Update

Dear Banning Lewis Residents,

Here's an update from Landscape Endeavors on fall services as we transition into the winter season:

Seasonal Preparations

  • Snow Staking & Tree Wrapping: Crews are continuing these tasks and expect to finish snow staking by the end of this week.
    • Snow staking is marking property edges and key features (curbs, driveways) with tall, visible stakes before winter so that snow equipment operators know where curbs, driveways, and possible hazards are. This helps to mitigate damage, improve safety, and speed up snow removal processes.
    • Tree wrapping is the process of covering a young or thin-barked tree's trunk with protective material to shield from winter sunscald, frost cracks, pests, and animal damage. This helps the tree stay healthy through harsh winter conditions.
  • Fall Clean-Up: Following tree wrapping and snow staking, fall clean-ups will begin next week. This includes leaf removal, cutting back grasses, pruning, and clearing pine needles.

Irrigation Updates

  • Residential Blow-Outs: The first sweep is complete, with approximately 25 follow-ups remaining. If you’re unsure whether your system was completed, please reach out directly to the team at blr@landscapeendeavors.com to confirm.
  • Common Areas: Irrigation techs are moving on to common areas as residential areas are completed.

Projects & Maintenance

  • Final Native Mow: Weather permitting will be finished within the next week.

Snow Removal

  • Equipment staging: Equipment for fast response on snow removal is on-site and ready.
  • Website Updates: Snow removal information will be emailed and posted on the District’s website for easy reference.

Thank you for your involvement and inquiries on the seasonal transition to winter. If you have questions about this update, please reach out to the District Management team.
